The Logging service's Unified Monitoring Agent now includes the option to enable several new operational metrics when creating or editing an agent configuration. You can use these metrics to help monitor and identify potential problems with the agent. After any metrics are enabled, use the Metrics Explorer page to create a query to retrieve agent operational metrics from the Monitoring service, or create a Console Dashboard with the selected operational metrics.
