Managing Entitlements

Entitlements are credentials that give you access to restricted software content. Add entitlements to OS Management Hub to unlock restricted software sources.

You might have bought content from an OS vendor that requires additional entitlements. An example for Oracle Linux is an Oracle Linux Premier support subscription that grants access to Ksplice patches. These content sources are restricted for use until you add the necessary entitlements to unlock access in OS Management Hub.

For Oracle Linux, you use the Customer Support Identifier (CSI) number associated with your Oracle Linux Premier support subscription to unlock restricted software sources.

After you add the entitlements for a restricted content source, the OS vendor source software is unlocked and can then be added to the tenancy for use with OS Management Hub. For more information, see Adding Vendor Software Sources.
