An audit policy defines specific events to track in a target database. In Oracle Data Safe, you can provision the following audit policies:
- Basic auditing policies
- Administrator and user activity auditing policies
- The Center for Internet Security (CIS) Recommendations policy
- Custom policies
- Oracle pre-seeded audit policies
After an audit policy is provisioned, the target database can begin to generate audit data. You can manage audit collection by using the auto purge feature and audit data retention setting. When enabled, the auto purge feature purges audit data on your target database every seven days. The audit data retention setting determines how long audit data is kept in the Oracle Data Safe repository.
