The address rate limiting configuration defines the number of allowed requests from a unique IP address and the resulting block response code when that threshold is exceeded.

  • This task can't be performed using the Console.

  • Use the oci waas good-bot update command and required parameters to enable and edit address rate limiting for an edge policy:

    oci waas address-rate-limiting update-waf --good-bots good-bots --waas-policy-id waas_policy_ocid [OPTIONS]

    The good-bots value is a complex type whose value must be valid JSON. The value can be provided as a string on the command line or passed in as a file using the file://path/to/file syntax.
