Renaming a Disk Import Transfer Job

Rename a disk import transfer job.

Using the Console

Note

You can only change the name of a transfer job using the Console. If you want to change other attributes of the transfer job, use the Data Transfer Utility instead.
  1. Open the navigation menu and click Migration & Disaster Recovery. Under Data Transfer, click Imports. The Transfer Jobs page appears.

  2. Choose a Compartment you have permission to work in under List scope. All transfer jobs in that compartment are listed in tabular form.

  3. Click the transfer job that you want to edit. The transfer job's Details page appears.

  4. Click Edit. The Edit Transfer Job dialog box appears.
  5. Enter a new name for the transfer job in the Transfer Job Name box.

  6. Click Edit Transfer Job.

Using the Data Transfer Utility

Use the dts job update command and required parameters to rename a disk import transfer job.

dts job update --job-id job_id --display-name display_name

display_name is the new name of the transfer job.

Run dts job update --help to view the complete list of flags and variable options.

dts job update --job-id ocid1.datatransferjob.oc1.phx.aaaaaaaa4tccxsktptbexdy6ipmfqome5acvieqthlqvts6lltqv5qxo2fiq --display-name MyRenamedJob
