Editing a Budget

Edit a budget in Billing and Cost Management.

    1. Open the navigation menu and click Billing & Cost Management. Under Cost Management, click Budgets.
    2. On the Budgets page, select the budget scope, if necessary.
    3. Click the name of the budget that you want to edit.
    4. On the budget details page, click Edit.
    5. (Monthly recurring budgets) In the Edit Budget dialog box, change the name of the budget, the description, the budget amount, or the day of the month to begin budget processing. Avoid entering confidential information.

      (Custom non-recurring budgets) In the Edit Budget dialog box, change the name of the budget, the description, and the budget amount. The time period can't be edited. Avoid entering confidential information.

    6. Click Save Changes.
  • Use the oci budgets budget update command and required parameters to edit a budget:

    oci budgets budget update --budget-id budget_ocid [OPTIONS]
