Associating Confidential Client Application

Associate Confidential Client Application with resource application.

For authorization purpose, you must associate the confidential client application with confidential resource application.

Complete the following steps to configure the association:

  1. Navigate to Identity > Domains > Default Domains > Integrated Applications and then click Add application
  2. In the Add application panel, select Confidential Application.
  3. Click Launch Workflow.
  4. In the Add Confidential Application page, provide the following details:
    • Name. Name of the confidential client application.
    • Description. A short description about the client application.
  5. Click Next.
  6. In the Configure Auth page, provide the following details.
    • Client Configuration. Select the Configure the client as an application now option.
    • Client Credentials. Under Authorization section, select the Client Credentials check box.
    • Add resources. Under Token issuance policy, select Add resource check box.
    • Add Scope. Under Resources, click Add Scope to select and add an existing scope.
  7. After adding, the scopes are now associated with the client application.
  8. Click Next and then Finish.

    After you have created a client application, go to the applications summary table, and select the application and activate it by selecting the Activate option in the Action menu.
