Reporting

Reporting tab provides information on Java downloads occurred during the specified time period. It provides information on downloads through Java Downloads and also downloads for the purpose of Java Runtime Lifecycle Management Operations in Fleet Management. You can view the reports that is aggregated at Java version, Operating system and architecture, and Release levels.

Download Report

By default, the Download report page provides download count of all Java versions for the current week. You can select the date range and get the relevant download count. All the subsequent breakdown reports provided in this topic is based on the date range that you select here.

The Download Report page provides the following details:

  • Java version: A list of all Java versions downloaded within the selected date range
  • Downloads: The number of downloads for each Java version

Click the Downloads count to view further Java Downloads breakdown by release within the selected Java version.

The Downloads by release page provides the following details for the selected Java version:

  • Java release: A list of all Java releases associated with the selected version
  • Downloads: The number of downloads for each Java release within the selected date range

Click the Downloads count to view further Java Downloads breakdown by operating system and architecture within the selected Java release.

The Downloads by Operating system and Architecture page provides the following details for the selected Java release under the Java version:

  • Operating system: The operating systems of the selected Java release downloaded within the selected date range
  • Architecture: Architecture associated with the operating system
  • Package type: Type of package downloaded, such as MSI installer, Installer, Compressed archive, RPM package, and so on
  • Downloads: The number of downloads for each operating system

Click the Downloads count to view further Java Downloads breakdown by Downloads type within the selected operating system and architecture for the Java release.

The Downloads by type page provides the following details for the selected package type for the Java release under the Java version:

  • Source: Depending on the download type, the source information is displayed. If the file is downloaded:
    • For Java Runtime Lifecycle Management Operations: OCID of the agent that carried out the Install Java runtime operation is displayed.
    • Directly from OCI console: User who downloaded the file is displayed.
    • Using script friendly download commands: Value of the token associated with the execution of script friendly download command is displayed.
  • Timestamp: Date and time when the file was downloaded
  • Downloaded by: If the file is downloaded:
    • For Java Runtime Lifecycle Management Operations: Agent is displayed.
    • Directly from OCI console: User ID of the person who downloaded the file is displayed.
    • Using script friendly download commands: Script is displayed.

Download Detailed Report

If you prefer a complete download report instead of the breakdown, click Download detailed report. Java Download will provide the full download report in a CSV format that can be downloaded directly from the OCI console.

The following information is presented in the report:

  • Java version: Downloaded Java versions
  • Java release: Java release associated with the Java version
  • OS: Operating system of the downloaded package pertaining to the Java release
  • Architecture: Architecture of the associated operating system
  • Package Type: Type of package downloaded, such as dmg, tar.gz, msi
  • Download Source ID: Displays one of the following source ID:
    • OCID of the agent that carried out the Install Java runtime operation
    • OCID of the user that carried out the direct download
    • Value of the token associated with the execution of script friendly download command
  • Time Downloaded: Time stamp of the download
  • Downloaded by: Source of the download, such as script, user, or agent
